The Green Smart Building project is an experimental project for intelligent research and development composed of energy savings, low-carbon emissions, and IT technology. This project aims to secure a research infrastructure that conducts R&D and demonstrative works, as well as to build a cooperative system that applies the core technologies of BIM to the whole process from design to facility management. The key point of the BIM application is to create a detailed BIM execution plan and set up a goal in accordance with the work procedure. Suitable LOD-setting for the design cooperation of a BIM model reduces unnecessary documentation time and enhances understanding through a 3D BIM model. In addition, it had the advantage of making an effective decision with overseas companies as well as of reviewing the facade and space program. In addition, Hyundai Architects & Engineers Associates (HDA) instituted HI-BIMS to establish the consistent use of BIM throughout the concept, design, and construction phases and to improve efficiency.
